July 2016 Amicus Solar Newsletter

News from Your Amicus PPA Partner

It was another exciting quarter at IGS Solar. We continue to expand our footprint throughout the Northeast, and just completed an agreement for our first project in the Northwest. We’re so excited about all the work that we’re doing with our EPC partners and truly appreciate each and every one of them. Most recently, Pete Sudano of Advanced Solar Products told us, “You guys continue to be the most professional, competent, and pleasant financing team we have seen in this industry, and it is a continuing pleasure to work with you.” A big thank you to Advanced Solar for the kind words – the feeling is mutual.

Read on for the latest news about some of our projects, learn more about a pilot program underway at IGS, and meet our team.

As always, if you have questions or feedback, I’d love to hear from you.

The system was built for Central Oregon Community College, the oldest two-year college in Oregon. Once online, the 504 kW system will meet nearly all of the four building’s annual power needs.

Madison Electric Works, Madison, ME | Project Partners: Advanced Solar Products, Clear Energy Group, Cianbro Development

This 4 MW system, spanning over 2 acres, is being built for Madison Electric Works (MEW), a municipality-owned utility serving 2,500 customers. Construction is now underway and we plan to have it operational by end of year.

IGS News: Pilot battery program

IGS has embarked on a pilot project to participate in a Frequency Regulation program within PJM Interconnection.  The 100 kW capacity batteries are now fully installed, tested, and operational at our headquarters in Dublin, Ohio.  This marks the first IGS venture into the market of battery storage and regulation services. IGS Solar plans to use this as a stepping stone to provide storage with solar in the near future and we are currently seeking opportunities to deploy more storage technologies.
